I had roughed a few designs in my tablet, until landing on a clergy robe adorned with a cross that stretched the length of his garment. This episode of CTTC sets in motion of a series of installments that will relate to my comic strip /comic book character known as the Faith Walker. I'm through the roof excited as this labor of love, art and ministry became 30 in 2020! Our celebration verse comes from " I Corinthians 16:13 Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!" I have a myriad of plans hopes and dreams and actions to celebrate the character's existence. We will keep you posted as we go. This idea goes waaay back to1990 when I was inspired by a life-changing message that had me going wow....thank, you Jesus. I remember sitting in the sanctuary of World Won for Christ Ministries in Inglewood California under the voice of the late Bishop Wayne S. Davis feeling as if I was the only person in the building. Imagine lights, thunder, angelic beings cascading across the ceiling of the temple as Davis delivers the word of God with his clergy robe swaying in the pulpit...in that moment the thought was why don't superheroes quote scriptures in battle and the robe-wearing, scripture quoting action-hero was conceived. After service, I could not shake the concept and began to render a rough sketch of this soon to be the hero that gives God the glory. My comic-book mind had been influenced by the Holy Ghost! What was I to do? How was I to answer this call that wasn't traditional ministry and in a different lane than the average comics fanboy? Come back next week as I continue the chronicles of the Faith Walker 30 Year anniversary. Until we meet again, blessings to you and yours. I hope that you are feeling this post. Please help me build this blog. I will select five random people to draw as superheroes who subscribe to my blog- simply join and share right now! So until we meet again, be thankful, grateful, tell a friend and stay creative to the core..

To learn more about about Faith Walker books and related materials please visit www.christianactionheroes.com and join the CAHU party

Clint D.Johnson
Artist/Writer/Publisher

Streaming Learning Curve

http://www.clintdjohnson.com/blog/streaming-learning-curve

http://www.clintdjohnson.com/blog/streaming-learning-curve#comments

Uncategorized

What's up everybody I'm back on the drawing table, your brother Clint D Johnson let you know the God I serve is awesome ! welcome to the first installment of Clint D Johnson's Creative to the Core Blog and Digital Journal where we explore art and more. Since I am an artist, he urged me create a vlog/live stream of a tutorial. Once the live-stream is complete, save that footage and re-purpose it as a Youtube video and top it off with a blog about project and embark upon a weekly routine. Armond's point was for me to get over what ever is holding me back. The only way to do it is to do it. So I'm gung - ho to press ahead. I called my tech genius buddy Alfredo Tigolo of Just Text Al streaming service. Al had assisted me before in my online streaming. Goal was to do a tutorial, I used obs a free software that allows the user to record and stream live to multiple platforms. Ready set go , I'm on air , off and running creating a tutorial of a mans face. Using basic shapes as circles ovals to construct the desired image. As I'm drawing, I begin to interact with my Facebook audience, likes , thumbs ups, hearts and happy faces are in full effect. Im feeling pretty accomplished. As I'm closing what appears to be a successful broadcast I close out to find out that Facebook did not save the footage. What?!! Nothing was archived for me save and upload to Youtube. This dynamic duo is providing the instruction and inspiration to actually start our blogging, You-tubing, IGing, DMing, and streaming, in addition to some other cool stuff to bring a brother into the 21st-century marketing and communications.

For those who don't know I'm probably best known in the Los Angeles area as CDJ for illustrations, logo designs and book covers designs. We will definitely visit client-driven projects here. As I think back over my creative journey, way back in the day go I used to work as the cartoonist for Holman's Black Achievers. The newspaper captured work featuring African-American leaders. This was back in the late 80s early 90s. Over the last almost two-plus decades, I'm primarily known for being the creator of the Faith Walker comic book/ strip character in which I write and draw most of the content and have had the pleasure of publishing over the years. Faith Walker is Christ-centered superhero type in a sin-ridden city. He and his gifted team of agents encounter transgression themed terrors and combat darkness all the while shouting “for the kingdom!” I have been fortunate to assist others in bringing their creative character driven concepts to printed page over the years.

My latest dabble in the realm of comics and cartoons is “Sonny and Raynae,” a strip that loosely based on the antics and adventures of my younger sister and I. The episodes are based on childhood activity from pillow fights to cleaning up the house at the last minute before my mom arrived home from a hard day's work. The Sonny and Raynae comic strip currently appears in the American Dream News published by LA's own Dr. George Hooks.
